Hugo's Log - Part 1

Circles

As time flows through 2020 in an elusive way, it seems like everybody’s plan has changed a little. Having to take quite a detour, we stopped at the Diner we like on a small moon beyond Beta Pictoris b. Not only are their pastries said to be some of the finest in the galaxy, but also the view is delightful. As we entered, the Petit Prince held the door for us.

It reminded me of that lonely rose, out of time, lost and stuck inside her bubble. After ordering our breakfast, we started having a word about when we’ll be able to play gigs on Earth again.

We have been to quite a few unforgettable places already on this trip and even had time to play some music while the ship on autopilot. I expect some surprises on the way back, going through terra incognita. But it’s time to come home. Temporal Comet was not originally designed for inter-dimensional travel; but in space you really can find everything. Offering a lot of floor space, it is nevertheless quite noisy and smoky.

The decision to leave was made shortly after the lockdown on Earth. I wanted to check out the tiny tree planet near Andromeda, and MJ wanted to discover a type of alien waveform which he’d seen mentioned in a sub-Reddit. The OP (original poster) said that this waveform was circular, without a starting point, and with no end.

We thought that being alone would be inspiring; that doing things differently would teach us new ways.

As we were making our way out of the Diner, I remembered that the Petit Prince also found a planet covered with a multitude of roses; in this verdant world, symbiosis is the backbone of a unique harmony. A chaotic and unlimited universe had made possible the existence of a harmonious world.

Arriving back at our transport, we suddenly realised we were behind schedule – Earth was a long way away and in the distance, a digital storm was rumbling into life.
